小文に分解する前に日本文の内容が完全に理解できるかどうか、確認しましょう。一つ私にはっきりしない点は「弁当などの宅配サービス」と「お年寄りの安全の確認サービス」の関係です。前者だけのサービスも可能で、それに後者のサービスを付け加えることができるのか、それとも前者と後者は一体になった一つの新しいサービスなのか、です。ファミリーマートのホームページを調べましたが、このサービスは載っていませんでした。わたしは前者と後者が一体になった新しいサービスと解釈しました。
内容が理解できたら、小文に分割しましょう。先ずは日本文の流れに沿って小文に分割し、その後で英文で表現するときの構成を考えます。
「コンビニエンスストア大手のファミリーマートは、高齢化社会に対応し、安否確認サービス付きの宅配事業に乗り出す。」を要素の分解すれば次のようになるでしょう。
「ファミリーマートは大手のコンベニエンスストアだ。」
「ファミリーマートは新しいサービスを始める。」
「新しいサービスは高齢化社会に対応している。」
「新しいサービスは宅配と安全確認サービスを組み合わせる。」
次に「希望者を対象に、弁当などを１人暮らしの高齢者に届けた際、様子を遠隔地の親族にインターネット経由で報告するもの。」を小文に分解しましょう。
「新しいサービスは希望者を対象にする。」
「ファミリーマートは弁当などを高齢者に届ける。」
「高齢者は一人で暮らしている。」
「ファミリーマートは高齢者の様子（安全）を確認する。」
「ファミリーマートはこの情報を親族に、インターネットで、知らせる。」
「親族は遠隔地に住んでいる。」
これで日本文の情報は全部小文になりました。小文はすべて主語がはっきりしていますね。小文の内容を英文で表現するときには基本文型が使えそうな形をしていますね。
次に英文の内容の構成を考えましょう。このときに小文の内容を基礎にしますが、日本文で説明不足のところは補足説明を付け加えましょう。小文の内容だけにこだわる必要はありません。小文の内容を言い換えることが必要なときがあります。英文の構成は読者にわかりやすいように論理的にしましょう。この「英文で論理的な構成」が難しいですね。英文を読んで少しづつ身につけていくより方法はないですが、一般的にいえば、「物事の起こる順序に従って記述する」、「因果関係をはっきりする（～だから、したがって～だ）、（～の時に～する）」、「一番大切なことを述べてから、具体的な詳細を述べる」などです。英文の構成はいくとおりもあります。いろいろ試して見て読者が一番わかりやすいと思われるものを選びましょう。
1. Kaloさんは「コンビニエンスストア大手のファミリーマートは、一人暮らしの高齢者と遠隔地に住むその親族向けの新しいサービスを開始する。」と小文を再構成しています。「ファミリーマートは新しいサービスを開始する。」というキーセンテンスに「コンビニエンスストア大手の」、「一人暮らしの高齢者と遠隔地に住むその親族向けの」という情報を加えています。「一人暮らしの高齢者と遠隔地に住むその親族向けの」という内容は次の文に入れてもよいです。すると次のようになります。
Family
Mart, a major convenience store chain, is starting a new service. When the store delivers goods such as prepared meals
to elderly people who are living alone, the convenience store clerk checks how
elderly people are doing and provides the information to their relatives who live far away through the Internet.
こうすると２番目の文が長くなりますが、新しいサービスの内容がすべて説明してあるのでかえって内容全般がわかりやすくなるようにおもいます。
2. この部分では「ファミリーマートは弁当などを高齢者に届ける。」その時に「「ファミリーマートは高齢者の様子（安全）を確認する。」という因果関係が大事です。この因果関係を強調するには添削のような文の構造にするとよいでしょう。「新しいサービスは希望者を対象にする。」という内容はKaloさんの文に入っていませんが、すでに「新しいサービス」と言っているので文の内容に含まれているとして省略してもよいでしょう。「ファミリーマートは高齢者の様子（安全）を確認する。」という小文の安全の確認を強調して、the
convenience store clerk checks the safety of elderly peopleとしてもよいでしょう。
3. これは「新しいサービスは高齢化社会に対応している。」という小文の内容をほそくせつめいしてあってわかりやすいですね。練習問題には往々にして日本人の読者には当然わかる、と想定してある内容が含まれています。このような内容は補足説明すると、この英文の想定読者である「英語を日常使う人達」にわかりやすくなります。

1. 「どんな旅にも思い出がある。」はこれ以上小文に分解できないと思われる短い文ですね。では何を英文の主語にして、どういう基本文型を使って内容を表現しようか、と考えてみると簡単ではないですね。日本語としての内容はよくわかるのに、どうして簡単に英文で表現出来ないのだろうかととまどいました。しばらく日本文を眺めていてから、こんなことを考えつきました。
「どんな旅にも思い出がある。」はとてもこなれた日本語の表現なので日本語の特徴が凝縮されている。日本語文法をよく知らない私には、この文の構造を文法的に分析することが出来ない。このような状況を表現する適当な英文があるかもしれない。だが、残念なことに私には思いつかない。では、英語の基本文型の側からこの日本文の内容を表現するより仕方ない。そして「（それぞれの）旅は思い出をつくる（S+V）。」、Every trip creates its own memories.「（それぞれの）旅は私に思い出をくれる（S+V+O）。」、Every trip gives me its own memories.「私は旅の〈素敵な〉思い出を持っている(S+ have +O)。」I have fond memories of trips. というような幾つかの基本文型を使った英文をつくりました。
上の三つの英文はどれも一応は日本文の内容の基本を表現しています。ではこの三つのうちでどれが一番適当か考えてみました。一番目と二番目を較べると、二番目はmeが入っているので表現が身近になりますね。では二番目とと三番目の比較はどうでしょうか。「どんな旅にも思い出がある。」には「いまでも思い出を持っている、思い出がよみがえる」ということが含まれているようですね。ここを強調して三番目が良いように思います。ちょっと補足して、We have
fond memories of all the rips we have taken.とすると内容がはっきりします。
KaloさんはEvery travel gives you unforgettable experiences.と二番目の基本文型を使っています。表現が客観的になりますが、これでも内容はよくわかります。Collins COBUILDによるとIf you travel, you go from one place to another, often to a place that is far away.
